Human Body STEM Enrichment

Students in Mrs. Armbruster’s STEM Enrichment class this year are learning about the human
body. They have participated in activities focused around the skeletal system, the respiratory system, the digestive system and the circulatory system. So far, students have made skeletons out of upcycled materials, made a prosthetic hand, analyzed x-rays, worked with Mrs. Dell to 3-D print 2 vertebrae in the FAB Lab, used a CAD program to design and code their Humerus Bones on the computer and built working models of lungs. By the end, these students will also have the opportunity to measure out their digestive system and dissect a deer heart. This is a great opportunity for students to become more aware of their own body and have fun in the process.
