A message from Eric Nelson, OH Schultz Elementary Principal

Fall is a busy time of year at our school and in the Mishicot community. Most recently OH Schultz Elementary welcomed a large number of visitors to our annual Special Friend Breakfast. With the help of our kitchen crew and school staff, we served over 500 meals in an hour. In speaking with numerous families, they all had a great time and appreciated spending the morning with their students at school.

The beginning of October gets people thinking about Pumpkinfest. Nothing defines the fall season like a traditional community event with so much history. Specifically, our 5th-grade teachers and students organize the traditional pumpkin pancake feast which takes place in the high school cafeteria from 8-11 am and raises thousands of dollars in funds for their winter camp trip. We look forward to seeing everyone in Mishicot on Saturday, October 16th.

Each November OH Schultz Elementary School pays tribute to all of our local veterans with a school-wide assembly in our gymnasium. For many years 3rd-grade teacher
Mr. Roger Booth has planned this emotional and well-deserved appreciation for our local
servicemen and women. If you haven’t already joined us, then I highly recommend
spending an hour of your time on Veterans Day. It’s a small but impactful token of our
appreciation for all who served our great country past, present, and future.

One of the most important and enjoyable parts of my job as a principal is having
the opportunity to connect with so many people in our community. I am grateful our
schools and community continue to make this possible throughout the year with countless
events.

See you all very soon! Happy Fall!
Eric Nelson, OH Schultz Elementary Principal
