MISHICOT COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AND PERPETUAL SCHOLARSHIP COMMISSION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Due Date: March 1, 2021

For this application you will either need to stop down at Student Services to get an application number along with 3 copies of the character traits form to give to teachers to fill out. BANK FIRST SCHOLARSHIP

Due Date: March 1, 2021

Bank First will award one $10,000 scholarship to the candidate who best demonstrates achievement and high standards in academics, character, leadership, citizenship, and involvement in school and community activities. The recipient will also best demonstrate how they will utilize their education to make a difference in their future career.

Scholarship Criteria to Apply

  • Student must be a senior in high school.

  • Student must currently attend high school in a county in which Bank First maintains an office.

  • Student must plan to attend a private or public college or university (2 or 4 year). If the student has not yet been accepted into a college or university, they may still apply for the scholarship.

  • Student must have a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.5 or higher (on a 4-point scale).

  • Student must submit a copy of their high school transcript (grades 9-12) with the application.

  • Student must demonstrate achievement and high standards in academics, character, leadership, citizenship, and involvement in school and/or community activities.

  • Student must submit a 500-word essay. In 500 words or less, the student should discuss how they selected their intended field of interest or major. The applicant should share any experience they have in their intended field of interest (e.g., volunteer work, summer jobs, extracurricular activities, internships, etc.) and share what they gained from that experience. The essay should describe how the student’s college or university education will contribute to their immediate or long range career plan(s) and how they will use their education to make a difference in the future.

  • Student must submit a letter of recommendation with the application.

  • Children or immediate family members of Bank First directors, officers, and employees are not eligible.

WISCONSIN SECURITY ASSOCIATION INC.

KOHLER CREDIT UNION

Due Date: March 14, 2021

The Kohler Credit Union generally grant up to four annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the amount of $10,000.

  • The $10,000 scholarship will be awarded to students in renewable installments of $2500 each school year for up to four years.

  • For each year the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in college, they will qualify for the renewable portion of the scholarship

  • The scholarship is open to all majors.

The requirements for the scholarship are:

  • Students or parents must be Kohler Credit Union members prior to January 1, 2021

  • Student must have a cumulative high school grade point of at least 3.25

  • Student must have definite plans to attend a 4-year college or university full-time in the state of Wisconsin

  • Student must have a high school record that indicates achievement and high standards in scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship, and involvement in school and community activities.

The digital application will become available to students on January 2, 2021 at Kohler Credit Union.

WISCONSIN FFA FOUNDATION MEMBERS SCHOLARHSIP

Due Date: March 15, 2021

 Eligible Wisconsin Association of FFA members can now apply for the Wisconsin FFA Foundation’s 2020-21 Post-Secondary Scholarships.

The application can be found on the Wisconsin Ag Ed website (wisconsinaged.org) under “Participate” then “Scholarships and Grants”. All applications are to be postmarked by March 15, 2021, addressed to the Wisconsin FFA Foundation office.


Applicants must be a senior in high school, or enrolled in a university or technical school and have maintained a satisfactory scholastic record in school. FFA members need to only fill out one application to be considered for all scholarships for which the applicant qualifies. A listing of additional criteria for all scholarships is available on the Wisconsin FFA website.

WISCONSIN FFA FOUNDATION POST SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The applicant must be a member in good standing of the Wisconsin Association of FFA through membership in a recognized FFA Chapter

  • The applicant must be at least a senior in high school or already enrolled in college, and have maintained a satisfactory scholastic record in school

  • The applicant must major in a program offered through an accredited university or technical college with special consideration given to students with interest in agriculture,

    unless specified by the sponsor.

UAW LOCAL 833 SCHOLARSHIP

Due Date: March 22, 2021

UAW Local 833 is sponsoring a total of fourteen scholarships to be given to eligible graduating High School students to assist with the continuation of education at any accredited university, college or trade school. The recipients of these scholarships will be based on need.

MANITOWOC COUNTY SPORTS OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION

Eligibility:

  • Must be a graduating seniro from a Manitowoc County High School with plans to continue their education at a post secondary institution.

  • Must have earned a varsity letter through athletic participation in Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball or Softball.

  • Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5

  • Shall exemplify excellence towards Athletics, Sportsmanship, School, and Community

MISHICOT FFA ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

Due Date: March 26, 2021

Scholarship awards are available to qualifying Mishicot FFA members who will be attending an accredited post-secondary institution, (technical school or college, either public or private, or the Farm and Industry Short Course). The FFA Alumni Association may provide up to six $500.  

You must have been an active FFA member for at least two years, with one being your senior year, and also be a member in good standing. 

All majors will be accepted, but preference may be given to those pursuing an agricultural career. All decisions by the scholarship committee are final!

DO IT FOR DILLON SCHOLARSHIP

Due Date: March 30, 2021

The Dillon Mueller Memorial Fund offers at least 2-$250 scholarships to high school seniors looking to further their education. Submission for this scholarship can be done by completing the following application and attaching a 1-2 page, double spaced, and size 12 font essay describing how your career path will be able to help your community in the future. Deadline for submission will be March 30th of each year and winners will be selected by April 30th. Scholarships will be dispersed the following year after successfully completing the first semester with a minimum grade point average of 2.5. An unofficial copy of first semester grades shall be submitted within 3 months of the end of the semester.

This $1,000.00 scholarship is available for all seniors going into an Advanced Manufacturing field with a minimum GPA of 3.25. Students should be accepted to an accredited Technical College. (Students who attend an accredited school such as University Wisconsin Stout, Whitewater, Madison, Green Bay or Oshkosh are also welcome to apply).  Ironwood Plastics is looking for well rounded employees and feel students should be involved in many aspects of school as practical.

COUNTRY VISIONS AND CP FEEDS SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Eligibility:

1. The 2021 graduating high school senior must be enrolled for the upcoming school year in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university, or planning to attend a vocational or technical school.

2. The parents, parent, or legal guardian of the student must be a member of Country Visions Cooperative or CP Feeds, LLC and have purchased at least $2000 worth of goods and services from Country Visions or CP Feeds in the year prior to application.

3. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale during their previous educational years.

WISCONSIN RURAL OPPORTUNITIES FOUNDATION

 The Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation, Inc. (WROF) is proud to announce the WROF Premier Scholarship – an award of $5,000 to be presented to a Wisconsin high school senior pursuing a post-secondary education following graduation.

The student recipient must be a high school senior at one of Wisconsin’s public or private schools, who has been living in rural Wisconsin for at least two years. “Rural” is defined as traditional rural areas and rural towns of 25,000 population or less. The award will support tuition and books, up to $2,500 per semester, for any post high school experience in Wisconsin for two semesters as long as a 2.5 GPA is maintained.

The IPSA scholarship program was created to benefit the future of the Agricultural industry by supporting and encouraging the education of future Ag professionals.


IPSA awards $2,000 scholarships annually based on the number of applicants.

IPSA considers both high school seniors as well as active college students.

  • You must be majoring in an Agriculture related degree to be considered. No non-agriculture major applicants will be considered, even with an agriculture background.

  • Preference is given to Crop Science (Agronomy, Crop, Soil, Engineering) and Business fields (Agriculture Business, Economics, Marketing) over Animal Science fields.

Selection will be based on a combination of academic achievement, community and agricultural involvement.

MANITOWOC COUNTY FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIP

The Manitowoc County Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Agriculturist and the Promotion and Education Committees are pleased to each provide a $500 scholarship to a student who is attending an accredited college, university or technical school. The recipients will receive a check for $500 following completion of his/her first semester with the check made out to the school.  All majors will be considered, but preference will be given to students involved with agriculture.

AG ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

Due Date: April 1, 2021

The Manitowoc County UW-Agriculture Alumni Association Board is pleased to announce that several scholarships will be available for students from Manitowoc County enrolling in agriculture and life sciences majors at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Platteville, River Falls, Green Bay or Stevens Point. Examples of eligible majors include traditional production agriculture majors like dairy science, soil science and agronomy. Other majors may also qualify including: biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, forestry, horticulture, environmental science and more. Scholarships for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course are also available. Scholarships for a degree program will be up to $1,000 while scholarships for Farm and Industry Short Course will be up to $750. The UW-Ag Alumni Association scholarship is also available to students transferring from a non-agriculture program to an agriculture program at one of the aforementioned colleges.

THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF AUTOMATION SCHOLARSHIP

Due Date: April 2, 2021

The Fox River Valley Section of ISA will award five scholarships in 2021 to applicants chosen through subjective review process with no financial disclosure. There is one $2500 and four $1500 one-time scholarships. The following rules apply:

1.         The recipients must pursue an automation or process control related course of study terminating in either an associate or bachelor’s degree from any accredited college or university anywhere in the world.

2.         The scholarship will be awarded upon successful completion of the first half year of studies. A grade transcript must be submitted to Dan Tibbetts via mail/e-mail to the address listed below.

3.         The recipient must live within the boundaries of the Fox River Valley Section. Note – if you receive this letter, your school district is within the section boundaries.

THE CHAMBER OF MANITOWOC COUNTY'S AMBASSADOR SCHOLARSHIP

Applications are now being accepted for The Chamber of Manitowoc County’s Ambassador Scholarship.

To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be a high school senior graduating in 2020. Applicants must demonstrate a capacity for leadership; show an interest in the community and school activities; and be employed by, or have a parent or guardian that is employed by, a company, business, or organization that is a Chamber member.

The Chamber of Manitowoc County’s Ambassador Scholarship Committee, sponsor of this scholarship, believes that leadership, community service, and the pursuit of higher education should be appropriately recognized and rewarded. $1,000 scholarships are available for students pursuing a 4- year degree and $500 scholarships are available for students pursuing a 2-year degree. To date, The

Chamber has awarded over $48,000 to students pursuing higher education.

RICE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP

What is the REI Scholarship?

The Rice Engineering Scholarship provides financial assistance to one area high school senior per year who plans to enter the civil engineering field. The scholarship is a $3,000 cash award to be dispersed in $1,000 increments in the first three years of attendance at a college or university. The applicant must be accepted for enrollment to receive the award.

Who can apply for the REI Scholarship?

• Graduating seniors from any high school in Brown, Door, Kewaunee or Manitowoc Counties.

• A student that is accepted for enrollment in an accredited engineering program.

• A student that is going into a civil engineering program.

INVESTORS COMMUNITY BANK SCHOLARSHIP

As part of our commitment to our community, we are excited to offer a $3,000 scholarship to a student who meets the following criteria:

  • Is a high school senior or current college, university or community/technical school student

  • Has a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)

  • Is enrolling, or is currently enrolled at an accredited college, university or community/technical college in a business or agricultural field of study

WISCONSIN BANKERS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Due Date: April 2, 2021

Four scholarships in the amount of $2000 each will be given to qualified applicants.

Eligibility Requirements

Applications will be accepted from two groups:

  1. Application is open to the general public for graduating seniors attending a Wisconsin high school

  2. Application is open to individuals who are employed by or have a parent or guardian employed by a Wisconsin Bankers Association member. Eligible applicants may be a high school senior, an adult returning to college, or a current college student.

  • Applicants must be pursuing studies at a Wisconsin state-accredited college, university or state-operated vocational/technical school and must show proof of enrollment prior to scholarship award

  • Eligible applicants may plan to enroll on a full- or part-time basis but must show proof of enrollment for a minimum of six (6) credits.

  • Applicants accepted to one of the government military academies are not eligible to apply.

  • Applications from students attending privately run trade schools will not be accepted.

LOREE KAKUK MEMORIAL FUND

In 2021, we are excited to offer two $250 scholarships from the Loree Kakuk Memorial Fund to two students within Manitowoc County.

The Loree Kakuk Memorial Fund was established after our Mother/Aunt/Sister, Loree Kakuk, lost her battle to breast cancer. In memoriam of our loved ones, our team, made up of family and friends,  created this fund to help those directly and indirectly affected by this devastating disease. This year we will be issuing two, one-time scholarships in the amount of $250 each, one in remembrance of Christine Johnson and one in remembrance of Loree Kakuk. Checks will be issued to the individual and the college/university.

DAVID & JAMES DOSE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

A $1000.00 Scholarship will be given to a deserving Mishicot 2021 graduate who wants to pursue a career in Agriculture.  Ag touches many lives, starting with basic animal science & agronomy, to veterinary science, agriculture engineering, working with farmers in financial need (loan officer), and forestry or niche enterprises (entrepreneurial).  All applicants will be considered.  
This scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who has maintained a C or above GPA during their high school career.  The student must have a passion to continue their education, with a determination to complete and succeed after college graduation.Student can attend either a technical, 2-year, or 4-year college.

  • Must maintain full-time collegiate status by taking at least 12 credits per semester.

HAYDEN'S BATTEN DISEASE FOUNDATION INC

Applicants for this scholarship will have a strong desire to work in the medical field.

Two scholarships $1,000 will be awarded to applicant’s who demonstrate strong academic success, are able to provide two letters of recommendation (one of which must be from a teacher or counselor), plan to enter into a health care career and illustrate an understanding of Batten Disease and how upon completing their college degree they would be able to assist person’s suffering from Batten Disease.

CARRIE CRYSTAL STUCKERT MEMORIAL ART SCHOLARSHIP

AB NICHOLAS SCHOLARSHIP

The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation will offer scholarships to approximately 80 Wisconsin public and private high school graduates based on need, academic achievement and character. The annual scholarships - $10,000 for four-year programs and $5,000 for two-year programs-are renewable for the length of the program.

Qualifications:

  • Residents of Wisconsin

  • Public and private high school students

  • Basketball program participants in their senior year

  • Planning to attend a University of Wisconsin System school

  • Not participating in sports at the Division I level in college (4-year program only)

RICHARD AND IONE BEERNTSEN YMCA YOUTH COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

Due Date: April 30, 2021

General Information:

  1. YMCA Youth College Scholarship awards will be made to graduating seniors attending any high school in Manitowoc County

  2. Membership or affiliation with the YMCA is not required.

  3. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor degree at an accredited college or university in a human service field of study (for example: teaching, nursing, YMCA work, social work, medicine, etc.).

  4. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of need and merit

  5. Applicants may be required to interview with the Scholarship Committee

HOLY FAMILY MEDICAL/DENTAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Due Date: April 30, 2021

Six scholarships will be available for $2,000 each for any high school or college student pursuing a degree in a medical field.

The criteria for the scholarship are:

• Acceptance at an accredited college, university, or technical school

• A Manitowoc County resident • A grade point average of 3.0 or above is desired

• An essay that describes your health career objectives & financial need

Application procedure: Application must include the following:

1. Completed Application Form

2. Three letters of reference preferably one teacher, one workplace, and one personal

3. Most current grade transcript

4. A 200-300-word essay to include how this scholarship would help you pursue your goals, career objectives, and aspirations Incomplete applications will not be eligible.

MARIBEL SPORTSMEN'S CLUB

Due Date: May 1, 2021

Attached you will find an application for the Maribel Sportsmen’s Club annual $500 scholarship.  Students that are going into any type of natural resources work, whether being fish, wildlife, forestry, parks, soils, water resources, etc…  Applicants must have the completed application back to the Guidance Office or in the mail post marked no later than May 1st, 2021.  Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

WISCONSIN TOWNS ASSOCIATION

Due Date: May 28, 2021

The Wisconsin Towns Association, rural Mutual Insurance Company, and Scott Construction, will be awarding $7000 in scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2021 from either a public or private high school in Wisconsin that plan to enroll in a Wisconsin public or private college or a university in 2021. The winners are determined by independent judging of an essay contest. The essay should address the topic: "What lessons can town governments take from the COVID-19 pandemic to improve their emergency management systems and prepare for and respond to future disasters?"

MANITOWOC COUNTY FISH AND GAME PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION

LTC PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP
DUE DATE:  MARCH 1, 2021

The LTC Promise scholarship gives promising high school seniors in the Lakeshore community the opportunity to attend college by helping them access financial resources and enroll at LTC. By removing financial barriers, students who may not have had the opportunity will now be able to earn a degree and pursue a career. LTC promises to pay the balance of  tuition and fees for eligible students after federal and state grants have been applied. 

UW-EAU CLAIRE SCHOLARSHIPS

UW-GREEN BAY NEW FRESHMEN SCHOLARSHIP
DUE DATE: FEBRUARY 15, 2020 (PRIORITY DATE)

Qualified students who submit an application are considered for a pool of named scholarships managed through the Financial Aid Office. The scholarship review committee begins awarding after the February 15 priority application date each year. The process continues throughout the summer until all funds are committed. Scholarship selection is competitive. 

UW-LACROSSE SCHOLARSHIPS

Incoming freshman, transfer and continuing student scholarships are available through the UWL Foundation. The application period runs from October 1 through February 1. 

UW-MADISON SCHOLARSHIPS

As an incoming student, you can apply for scholarships as soon as you apply to the University by using your NetID and password. Applications for incoming undergraduate students typically open in early November and have deadlines in early February, so don't wait until you know your admissions status to apply!

UW-MILWAUKEE SCHOLARSHIP

These scholarships are made possible by the generous gifts made by donors, friends, and alumni of UW-Milwaukee who are committed to the education of UWM students. To begin, you must be admitted to either the Milwaukee or Waukesha campus locations. Please sign in using your PAWS ePantherID and password. Once logged in, you will start with the General Application, please complete as much as possible as this will be the main source used to select recipients. In addition, you may be asked to complete a school/college/dept application. After completing these applications, a list of open opportunities that you potentially match to will be provided for you to apply to.

UW-OSHKOSH SCHOLARSHIP

UW-PARKSIDE SCHOLARSHIP

To be eligible for university scholarships, you must be admitted to Parkside by Feb. 1. Including your intended major on your application is important for many scholarships. UW-PLATTEVILLE SCHOLARSHIP

UW-RIVER FALLS SCHOLARSHIP
DUE DATE: On-going

UW-River Falls offers scholarships for which you can apply annually. The scholarships are funded by the UW-River Falls Foundation through contributions from alumni, faculty and staff, friends, parents, campus organizations, and corporations. Over 800 scholarships totaling more than $900,000 are typically awarded.

UW-STEVENS POINT SCHOLARSHIP

UW-STEVENS POINT TRYTTEN SCHOLARSHIP
DUE DATE: January 31, 2021 

The Department of Chemistry at UWSP urges qualified students to apply for the Trytten Scholarship, awarded annually to an incoming freshman who intends to major in Chemistry or Biochemistry at UWSP. The scholarship is named after the late Professor Roland A. Trytten, long time faculty member and leader of the Department of Chemistry at UWSP. The total amount of the award is $4,000, applied to your UWSP tuition each semester in the amounts of $200 the Freshman year, $400 the Sophomore year, $600 the Junior year, and $800 the Senior year.

UW-STOUT SCHOLARSHIP
DUE DATE: MARCH 15, 2021

Have you worked hard in high school to keep your GPA high and crush the ACT? You deserve some recognition for that.

That’s why we’ve put together our Blue Devil Guarantee, every eligible new freshman will automatically receive one of these scholarships when they come to Stout.

To qualify for the Blue Devil Guarantee scholarships, you must be a new freshman student admitted to UW-Stout by the first Monday in February for the fall semester. If you improve your ACT/GPA, you can qualify for a higher scholarship! Submit your updated credentials no later than March 15.

UW-SUPERIOR SCHOLARSHIP
DUE DATE: DECEMBER 1, 2020 (FIRST ROUND); FEBRUARY 1 (SECOND ROUND)

Freshmen applicants who have submitted a scholarship application essay, who have a GPA of 3.00 and have an ACT of at least 21 will be considered for a Foundation scholarship. In certain cases and for certain awards, a lower ACT and/or lower GPA may be considered depending on the scholarship application essay.

Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis among this group. Award recipients usually have a strong high school curriculum and present an ACT score and/or class rank that is above these minimums.
